• Visit a Pumpkin Patch: October is the one time of year when it’s socially acceptable to talk to pumpkins! Head over to a a pumpkin patch with family, friends or even by yourself. Remember to enjoy the how the pumpkins connect to the soil through their “life vine” and turn out so unique. Scan diligently, then slowly, touch and allow the patch to make you glow inside out. Next, pick your perfect pumpkin.

• Attend a Fall Festival: Why not celebrate October falling into a festival? Festivals are the place to be! Whether you choose to patriciate as vendor or patron, there is always a chance to embrace arts, culture and community. Enjoy seasonal crafts, food, and probably more apple cider than you can handle. You may even see a pie-eating contest!

• Take a Scenic Drive: The fall colors are so gorgeous you might just forget how to drive! Find a scenic route in your area or take a drive to one a little out of the way. Don’t forget to pay attention to any trail condition updates. Make sure to get an early start give and allow for ample time to return before darkness sets in. Don’t be the one who gets lost... unless you are planning that legendary campfire with an overnight stay!
